How does it work?
Each 5-week course for 8-11 year olds provides a fun and exciting introduction to French or Spanish. Every course is taught by a fully-trained secondary teacher with proven experience delivering engaging lessons to primary-aged children in an online environment. Lessons take place on Zoom so your child can follow the course wherever your summer holidays take you.
Courses will start in the week of 28th July and finish the week of 25th August.

Intensive French course: Mondays and Wednesdays at 2.30pm
Standard Spanish course: Mondays at 1.45pm

Why Language Up summer courses?
You’ll be kept up-to-date with what your child does in every lesson.
The maximum group size is 8, guaranteeing engaging, personalised learning for every child in the class. Please note that we require a minimum of 3 sign-ups to run each course.
Your child will receive a course certificate upon completion.
We offer a discount for families signing up for more than one course.
Standard or intensive?
Our standard course includes a weekly 30-minute lesson and an independent task to complete with vocabulary practice. You’ll also get resources to help your child practise the new language they’re learning. Even if you can’t make a particular lesson, your child will be able to access these resources to keep up with the course! Topics include greetings, numbers, colours, days of the weeks and months of the year. But your course will focus on more than just language knowledge. It will also equip your child with skills that he or she can apply to ongoing language-learning, whatever the level.
Our intensive course includes two 30-minute lessons per week plus an independent task and vocabulary practice following each lesson. Your child will cover all the content and skills from the standard course as well as dive deeper into the themes of ‘my house’ and ‘my family’. This course is especially suitable for children transitioning into Year 7 where they may begin a new language.
